First Social Worker Councilmember

What a great experience being able to visit with Dr. Cosby at the Howard University School of Social Work, where I received my degree, on the 90th anniversary of the school's founding. Dr. Cosby was my inspiration and mentor to enter the world of social work and public service. So much of what I do now and have done for 25 years I can trace back to him and the school.

When I become the next Ward 1 Councilmember I'll be the first Howard alum, first social worker and first Black woman to represent Ward 1.
