When Brianne Nadeau and I first connected over a decade ago as young women determined to serve Ward One - her running for DC Council and me running for ANC - we didn't just build a working relationship - we built a friendship and partnership rooted in shared values and an unwavering commitment to our community's future. Together, we've delivered transformative victories: 456 affordable housing units through Park Morton and Bruce Monroe that kept families in their neighborhoods, the Crosstown Multimodal Transportation Plan that made our streets safer for everyone and improved connectivity throughout the Ward One, the Main Streets program that breathed economic life into Georgia Avenue and so many others small businesses throughout Ward One, and our unwavering support for Georgia Avenue Thrive which turned a struggling corridor into a thriving community hub.
